Since 2019, our members have been able to take advantage of Google’s free digital literacy program, Applied Digital Skills, which provides real world training for use of tools and applications on computers, tablets, and mobile devices.

New this year, adult learners can increase their technical skills with Google’s free coding program Grasshopper, and apply for scholarships to participate in the Grow with Google program, Google Career Certificates. Once participants complete the necessary certification, they can connect with top employers who are currently hiring.

This scholarship will contribute to furthering my adult education in the field of nursing. I started taking Certified Nurse Assistance classes in the Continuing Education program of San Diego (adult education).  I am currently taking a vocational nursing program in the Grossmont Health Occupations Center in Santee, CA. I am very thankful for being selected and express my complete gratitude. I look forward to serving my community as a student nurse and as a licensed vocational nurse in June of 2023. – Diana Arenas, California
