Monday: Join us as we kick off the world’s largest gathering of adult educators during Monday’s inspirational general session, live from Dallas, Texas! Our general session will feature Rebecca Contreras, author of the best seller “From the Hood to the Whitehouse”. We will also celebrate excellence in adult education and highlight key initiatives from our strategic plan that will bring new and exciting opportunities to the field. We will close out the session by honoring the following award winners: Outstanding Adult Learner, Outstanding Teacher, Outstanding Administrator, and Local Excellence in Advocacy.
Tuesday: Award winning author, Michael Ivanov, will share a message of hope, resilience, and innovation. This general session will also include a short workforce literacy panel session, and will showcase leadership, innovation, and thoughtful suggestions for a new path forward in the field of adult education. We will honor the following award winners: Advancing Workforce Development for Adult Learners Award, State Innovation, The State Association Leadership Institute (SALI) Award, and Behind Every Employer Incentive Grant.
Wednesday: Our close out session will end in a big way with Jedidiah Collins, former NFL player turned financial literacy guru who will provide a keynote on the value of financial literacy and provide easy to use resources and strategies for local programs. We also celebrate success, explore funding opportunities, and showcase excellence! We will honor the following award winners: Scholarship Grant, Incentive Grant, Programs Succeed When Learners Lead Incentive Grant, and National Institute For Literacy Award.
