Marilyn Pitzulo serves as the Associate Chief for Workforce Strategy with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. She has over thirty years’ experience in public service and nonprofit management, the last twelve in adult education. As the State Director of Adult Education, she shepherded programs through the transition from WIA to WIOA. Her work establishing strong WIOA partnerships, assisted over 6,000 adults obtain credentials leading to careers in high demand occupations. Marilyn directed the creation of a workforce education initiative that serves over 100 employers each year with onsite adult education programming to meet the needs of employers and their incumbent workers. With a focus on performance management, she led Indiana Adult Education to historic outcomes including leading the nation in Measurable Skill Gain performance. In her current role, Marilyn develops strategy to align WIOA Title I, II and III programming, and serves on the Governors Workforce Cabinet. Marilyn has a blended family of six children and 13 grandchildren and resides in Southern Indiana with her husband Tony and rescue dog Elsa.
