COABE Statement Regarding Coronavirus

At the World Health Organization press conference, Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated regarding the Coronavirus, “Our greatest enemy right now is not the virus itself. It’s fear, rumours and stigma. And our greatest assets are facts, reason and solidarity.”

COABE takes the health of our conference attendees, board members, and staff very seriously. Some have contacted the COABE office with concerns about the Coronavirus and the effect it might have on the COABE annual conference. COABE is committed to moving forward with the 2020 conference in Baltimore, MD on April 5-8, 2020. We are working with the hotel and conference venues to ensure hand sanitizers are provided throughout the conference and will encourage hand washing and other preventative measures for all attendees. We do request that any attendees who have visited China, South Korea, Italy or any other areas with significant confirmed cases within a month of the conference to contact our office at 888-442-6223 or email info@coabe.org.

COABE is committed to providing a healthy and safe environment for all of our conference attendees and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed
