Steps for Literacy: Grand Canyon Hike
On May 20, 2010, COABE member, Jack Glade will begin an arduous hike from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon to its North Rim to create S.O.S. Scholarships. These scholarships will provide much-needed professional tutoring for more disadvantaged children in southern Vermont, northern Massachusetts and eastern New York.
Over four days Jack will take 81,734 Steps for Literacy to build the S.O.S. Scholarship fund that provides essential academic tutoring to children in need.
But Jack can’t do it alone. He needs your help.
You can help bring opportunities for success to more children by sponsoring Jack’s 81,734 steps across the Grand Canyon.
100% of your support goes directly to The Tutorial Center’s Student Opportunities for Success (S.O.S.) scholarships.
Together, we can improve our communities by increasing opportunity: One Step at a Time.
